How-to Post Back-to-School Night Video in Google Classroom
Select one of your Google Classrooms.
Go to the “Classwork” tab.
Click and select “Topic”.
Type “Back-to-School Night” and click “Add”. If it didn’t appear at the top of your topic list on your Classwork page, drag it to the top.
Click and select “Material”.
Type a title for your video and add your video.
To add your video:
If you uploaded it to Google Drive, select this option and locate your video (if you used Screencastify it will be in a folder called “Screencastify”) OR
If you recorded your video as a file on your computer, select file and attach it OR
If you uploaded your video to YouTube, select this option
On right-hand side of screen, click the “For” dropdown menu and select all your Google Classrooms in which you want this video to appear.
On right-hand side of screen, click “Topic” and select “Back to School Night”.
Now click . This will post the video immediately OR you can click the down arrow and schedule when the video is posted. The video should be posted by September 16th 3:00 PM.
Go to the Classrooms where you posted the video, and make sure that the “Back-to-School” topic is at the top of your topic list.
**If the video is just spinning and won’t load, try using Firefox as a browser. Chrome seems to sometimes be problematic when trying to play .webm and MP3 videos.**
